I’m Tahereh. You can call me Tahi. I like both.
I'm a (Tony) Robbins-Madanes trained Life Coach and Strategic Interventionist. I'm grateful to have learned incredibly powerful transformational tools from some of the brightest minds in the industry, which have allowed me to witness real-time success stories in my clients' journey of growth - as well as my own personal life (shout-out to my fellow-recovering perfectionists!).
To me, there’s nothing more beautiful than the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity and rise above and beyond circumstances. I believe in the power of empathy, kindness and compassion. I also believe there is no force more badass than a person whose values, beliefs and actions are aligned! My job is to help people get there – and I love doing it!
You can take the girl out of Academia, but you can't take Academia out of the girl. Prior to becoming a professional Life Coach, I spent more than a decade in academia, studying and later teaching Middle Eastern Studies, Political Science and History as a lecturer. I may not bring my textbooks to our sessions, but my analytical approach follows me wherever I go and helps me look beyond the surface layer of any situation presented to me.
My desire to promote empowerment and freedom has shaped my professional path within and beyond academia. It has equally led me to journalism, the International Development and Women's Rights sectors over the years, where I served in roles geared towards advocating for human rights and alleviating human suffering. The same driving force that fuelled my dedication to bring about structural change in those roles, fuels my desire to work with individuals on their journey towards self-empowerment and inner freedom as a coach today.
Interculturality is my jam!And I believe I owe one of my key strengths as a coach to it. In case you were wondering: I'm the product of a German-Iranian marriage. Made in Germany. Raised bilingually. Studied, worked and lived in Germany, across the Middle East and in the UK. I’m proud to say to this day I still own a rice cooker somewhere in Lebanon.
Switching back and forth between different cultural frameworks – values, belief systems and ways of doing things – has equipped me with the intuitive flexibility to quickly think and feel my way into a clients' worldview and custom-tailor our sessions accordingly. It's trained me to apply multiple perspectives on the same situation, thus adding to a client's options.
Whether you're religious, agnostic, spiritual or an atheist, you’ve been raised in the East or the West, I can relate to your experience and I’ll work with you according to YOUR values.
Fun fact about me? When it comes to that black magical substance called coffee, I turn into a Gilmore Girl! If that reference is foreign to you, let’s just say coffee to me is what Manolo Blahniks are to Carrie Bradshaw! [Translation: Never enough!]
