This is an awesome little book and I can highly recommend it to anyone looking to find a little focus on your own journey to success.
Having been in business for since 2003 I like to think that I work using these principles but I'm not sure I've ever really sat down and considered them all in the way that they are presented in this book and I will certainly be going forward with these in mind.
For such a small, quick read it really packs some punch. Told in metaphor (i.e. as a story rather than in the format of a more traditional self help book), it is really easy to digest the messages in your own way and apply the principles to your own life. It really is a great example of the amazing power of metaphor.
The content of the book has really resonated with me and since reading it I have thought about it often and how I can live and work more in line with The Five Laws of Stratospheric Success. Simple ways to give more and so in turn attract more abundance, in whatever form that takes for me, into my life and work.
If you live by these laws you will create a more balanced and happier life, no doubt.
If you've not yet read this - do it. It's a powerful and thought-provoking read that I have no hesitation in recommending to all.
The Blurb Says
The Go-Giver tells the story of an ambitious young man named Joe who yearns for success. Joe is a true go-getter, though sometimes he feels as if the harder and faster he works, the further away his goals seem to be. And so one day, desperate to land a key sale at the end of a bad quarter, he seeks advice from the enigmatic Pindar, a legendary consultant referred to by his many devotees simply as the Chairman.
Over the next week, Pindar introduces Joe to a series of successful “go-givers”: a restaurateur, a CEO, a financial advisor, a real estate broker and “The Connector,” who brought them all together. Pindar’s friends share with Joe the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success and teach him how to open himself up to the power of giving.
Joe learns that changing his focus from getting to giving—putting others’ interests first and continually adding value to their lives—ultimately leads to unexpected returns.
Imparted with wit and grace, The Go-Giver is a heartwarming and inspiring tale that brings new relevance to the old proverb “give and you shall receive.”
